Naga Puja
Date: 11th August 2010 (Wednesday) & 20th August 2010 (Friday)
Time: 8.30pm
Venue: Chokyi Gyaltsen Center
Naga Puja is a powerful puja to pacify Nagas (a kind of being in animal realm which lives around us) which brings harm to people, such as Skin Disease and Cancer.
By participating in this puja, it brings protection to you not to receive any harm from Nagas. You may attend the puja or make offerings toward the puja and leave your name and dedications. It is due to the power of the puja, the power of the Buddha's blessings, the power of your sincere faith and the power of dependent arising, that helps heal the sickness by a certain degree or complete recovery.
Please feel free to write to us fpmt.cgc@gmail.com or call Ms. Stephanie at (012) 428 2929 for any assistance.
On Wednesday, 11th August 2010, a few members of CGC who were able to take time off work, went cruising on a yacht named the "Blue Whale" with Ven. Osel and Geshe Sherab. Accompanying us on the cruise was Mr. Ken Chuah from Losang Dragpa Centre, Kuala Lumpur and his father from New Zealand. The intention of the cruise was to perform Naga Puja at sea.
Naga Puja is a powerful puja to pacify nagas, unseen beings in the animal realm which lives around us in the sea, lakes, rivers, jungles, etc. Nagas sometimes brings harmful diseases such as skin diseases, cancer, stroke, bone pain, etc to people. Participating in the puja brings about protection from nagas and will certainly help prevent such diseases or help recover from them.
The yatch departed at approximately 4.00pm from the marina located next to Penang's jetty. Prayers to Medicine Buddha were recited by the participants while both Geshe Sherab and Ven. Osel performed the puja. Offerings were made to the nagas by throwing Tibetan medicinal herbs and milk into the sea concluding the puja. We also chanted mantras blowing them onto pieces of bread before throwing them into the sea to feed and bless the fishs and other animals.
Having completed our mission, we spent the rest of the cruise celebrating Geshe Sherab's birthday and the birthday of three other members who were also born in the month of August - Glen, Sharon and Yin Peng. It was a most enjoyable experience for everyone.

The Journey of Reincarnation
It is part of our life that everyone will finally get on this journey. How do we prepare for this journey and how does this journey look like? What are the four elements & how do the four elements dissolve? When does our consciousness leave our body? What does Intermediate State Being mean? Do we take rebirth within 49 days?
Join us to find out about our special journey at the end of this life, so that we can plan our future lives. It is important for us to learn and plan properly before this journey begins, and the sooner we find out about this, we stand a better chance of not taking rebirth in the lower reams (eg, hell beings, hungry ghosts, and animals) when death suddenly descends upon us.
The workshop will be concluded with an Extensive Medicine Buddha Puja dedicated for your good health and happiness from life after life.

All the 84,000 teachings of Buddha Shakyamuni are contained in Lam Rim in the most structured manner, giving us a proper understanding of dharma starting with kindergarten level to advanced level.
